Privacy notice
Plain terms for a small institute.
This notice describes the information Aeterna Institute receives through this website, why it receives it, and the choices available to you. It applies to aeterna-institute.org and the contact form on that site.
Last updated August 21, 2026
Information the site receives
You can read the public site without creating an account. If you submit the contact form, Aeterna receives the name, email address, subject, and message you choose to provide. If you write by email, the Institute receives your address, message, and the normal technical details included with email. Do not send sensitive personal, medical, financial, or identity information through the form.
Like most hosted websites, the services that deliver the site may receive request data such as an IP address, browser or user-agent string, requested URL, referring page, and request time. Aeterna does not use the site for account profiling or automated decisions.
How Aeterna uses an inquiry
The Institute uses contact information to read and answer the inquiry, route it to the appropriate person, keep ordinary organizational records, protect the site from abuse, and meet legal obligations. Aeterna does not sell contact-form information. It does not add a sender to a marketing list merely because that person asked a question.
Services involved
The contact form is processed by Formspree. The website is hosted and delivered through Netlify. These providers process information on their own systems to deliver the form and site. Public pages also request typefaces from Google Fonts and selected visual assets from Poly Haven and Transparent Textures. When a browser requests an asset from another domain, that provider can receive the request data needed to return it.
Each provider applies its own privacy and security terms. Aeterna limits these services to the functions described here. The current site does not include advertising pixels or an audience analytics product.
Browser storage
The homepage writes one value named aeterna_last_visit to local storage in your browser. It records the time of a visit so the opening animation does not repeat for six hours. The site reads that value only for this display choice. It is not an account identifier and the application does not transmit it to Aeterna. You can remove it with your browser's site-data controls.
Retention and your choices
Aeterna keeps inquiry records while they remain useful for responding, maintaining organizational records, resolving disputes, or meeting legal obligations. You may ask the Institute to provide, correct, or delete information you submitted. Some records may need to be retained when the law requires it or when they are needed to document a completed organizational action.
Send a privacy request to contact@aeterna-institute.org. State which inquiry or message the request concerns so the small team can locate it. The same address is the contact point for questions about this notice.
Changes to this notice
If the site's forms, tracking, or data practices change, Aeterna will revise this page and update the date above. Material changes should be reviewed before relying on an older copy of the notice.
